‘Stop! Yuh too Sweet!’ has garnered support across Barbados. To help spread the message, a key component of the project was the identification of a number of champions who will be undergoing training in the next phase of the project and will be utilising their various platforms to enhance and amplify the efforts of the HSFB.

Schools MOVE!

In November, 2018, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados, led by Professor Anne St. John and Dr. Grace Showan, and supported by Dr. Janelle Bryan, Champion for the Childhood Obesity Prevention Campaign and also Chair of the National Taskforce on Wellness and Member of the National NCD Commission and Mrs. Greta Yearwood, celebrated the launch of ‘school moves’ health clubs at several model schools participating in the ‘Stop! Yuh too Sweet!’ campaign.
